Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Product Compliance Engineer to join our team in Katowice.
As a Product Compliance Engineer, you will drive certification activities, including monitoring, supporting, and adapting existing certifications, as well as securing new approvals for newly developed variable frequency drives (VFDs).
With your expertise, you will support employees in understanding and applying standardization requirements across multiple certification bodies. You will also serve as the primary interface with relevant certification agencies and actively participate in cross-functional projects.
You will report to the Local Manager and have a dotted-line connection to the global PCE organization to ensure alignment and consistency of local activities with the global business strategy.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule based in Katowice, Poland.
- Ensure completion of product compliance deliverables related to UL/CSA, IEC/EN, and other global and local standards and their derivatives, as well as environmental regulations such as RoHS and REACH. This includes compliance assessments, design reviews, certification processes, test plan development, documentation, and implementation for both new and existing products.
- Serve as the primary product compliance interface with internal teams and external certification bodies, including domestic and third-party safety agencies (UL, CSA, DEKRA, FM, etc.), marine agencies, and hazardous location (HazLoc) environments.
- Participate in and lead projects to implement changes to products and processes in response to new or updated safety certification requirements and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to monitor and analyze regulatory trends and communicate relevant updates to impacted business groups.
- Support strategic sourcing and suppliers to ensure the supply chain is aligned with Rockwell Automation compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or Computer Engineering (or a related field), with a solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or product development engineering environment, preferably in the electrical/electronic industry.
- Fluent English.
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of complex and ambiguous work while maintaining quality.
- Experience in product and environmental compliance, including EMC, testing, and new product development processes, with a focus on Bluetooth and NFC technologies.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and SAP.
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products.
